this week at plaid/via: ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most plaid design and branding firm: David found Doggie sex toys. Just in case you need one. It should be noted that David doesn't own a dog. Justus changed his name. You may know him as Justus Johnson, but we now call him Justus Jackson. That's Mr. Jackson if you're nasty. (Full story, when you have time) Giuli got a haircut at the place downstairs from our office. Always an adventure - but she looks cool. For a redhead. Interesting conversations overheard at our office this week: + Discussion about prunes and fiber - and which one tightens, and which one loosens. + "Stop being such a pain in the ass...oh wait, I forgot - you're a client." I've interviewed a few candidates for the design position we have open. Plus loads, and loads and loads and loads of meetings, too. Our local paper came to do a story on the re-branding of our firm. In just days from now, we'll officially be Plaid! Lot's happening on that front: Proofs for business cards were approved, proofs for buttons were approved, and our new voice mail voice was recorded. If you haven't been watching, check out all of the last minute action as we complete the re-branding, on our Plaid blog. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via/plaid ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most redriffic design and branding firm: I got back from vacation, and learned how unimportant phones are. After I cleaned spam, there were several hundred emails in the inbox. And only ONE voice mail. Phones are so over. Giuli dyed her hair red! Now she's joined the ranks of Lucille Ball, Carrot Top, Shirley Temple and Annie. We think she should go for the Annie perm. Try and identify which one's Giuli, above. VIA crew went to the theater. Or the theatre. Oh yeah - tons of work, too. Three microsites for a hospital, several advertising pieces for a theater, a ski mountain brochure, pharmaceutical brochure, and some other boring stuff. On the Plaid side of things, our company's re-branding is crankin'. We've ordered business cards, collector buttons and made significant progress on the website. You can read all about it on the Plaid blog. By accident, mother nature gave us sun for a couple of days. Back to good ole grey, rainy New England, today. Labels: thisweekatVIA, via

darryl's back - wilson and eliza totally rock. I'm back in action, from a week long vacation in the sun. First real vacation in many years, so I was stoked. Wilson Cleveland held down the blogging fort in my absence, and Eliza added some yummy flavor with bonus posts. Thanks to both for giving BrandFlakes subscribers some awesome content this last week. If you're looking to get rid of your crappy PR firm, and want to work with someone who gets emerging media and PR, CJP is the firm. And Wilson's your man. One of those very few people in the world who really gets it. And is on top of everything. I'm pretty sure he reads the internet more voraciously than I do, which means he has a problem. Eliza's work you may already know, as she's the words behind the genius of nearly everything VIA/Plaid. Best copywriter in the nation, and really cool to work with too. Just don't get her started on politics. ;) I'd point you to her website, but it looks like it hasn't been updated since 1997. C'mon Eliza!! Oh yeah - the crew at VIA apparently even did work while I was gone. Lots of it. Mondo thanks to Giuli, David, Leigh and new freelance guru Rob. Labels: blogging, thisweekatVIA, via

this week at via/plaid ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's furriest design and branding firm: Riiiight - how much can really be expected with Darryl thousands of miles away?! We should have had five lovely days of goofing off - instead we worked quite a bit, seriously. With plenty of dog toy throwing, dog walks, playing with dogs, and taking pictures of dogs. Some napping... some beer drinking. But we definitely did some work at some point. Probably. Wilson Cleveland and Eliza Sweet became guest bloggers for BrandFlakes, filling in for Darryl while he sipped mojitos in San Juan. David directed a photoshoot with super photo genius Derek Dudek, at the Westport Country Playhouse. He even got to shoot Eartha Kitt. Roooowr! And a very naughty actress from their current production, Cady Huffman. Leigh started work on a website for Flambeau River Papers. Should be pretty cool. She'll be using a lot of killer photography from Chip Simons. Darryl and Justus were both on vacation this week. Both in sunnier places, avoiding the lovely grey rainy weather of New England. The chance for sun looks good this weekend, but I'm sure the weatherman is just teasing us. (Rob, a new freelance friend of ours, helped fill in - thank goodness he likes dogs.) On the Plaid side of things, we finalized our logo. We ordered business cards. We dug in deeper on the website. We also ordered some pretty cool linoleum block printed moleskine sketch pads for the House of Plaid. Well, it's 2pm - time to call it a day. :) (The dogs pictured above, who definitely didn't spend all week curled up on Darryl's chair are... the hounds Ashby and Cricket and Cooper the spaniel.) darryl takes vacation. replaced with smarter people. I'm taking a vacation. The first one in many years, so I'm pretty psyched. My wife says that I won't be buried in my laptop the whole week. So she claims. (She has to sleep at some point.) In the meantime, BrandFlakes will be graced with the presence of two wonderful guest bloggers: Wilson Cleveland will be taking over my daily duties. Wilson is VP of New Media & Entertainment at CJP Communications. Big time NYC PR dude, who does whatever it is that PR people do. He also happens to be very, very funny. You'll want to hang with him by the end of the week. Eliza Sweet, our copywriter of choice, will be delivering a couple of additional posts during the week. She's pretty good at putting words together in a sentence, since she writes for a living. Normally, she's generating loads of award-winning copy for our work. This week, she'll be writing the first ever grammatically correct posts on BrandFlakes. While we try to learn the difference between a verb and adverb. I'd like to say that some of the VIA crew will also be filing a post or two - but in reality, they'll be too busy coming in late, taking two hour lunches, and leaving early. ;) I'm off to be a judge at the Westchester Ad Club tomorrow, and then to Puerto Rico. See ya in a week. Labels: blogging, thisweekatVIA, via

this week at via/plaid ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most 'wishing it was sunny' design and branding firm: Wow. What a week. Loads and loads of new business. And then some more. Totally awesome. We just started working with the Westport Country Playhouse - and will be rocking the theater industry upside down. There's a really rich history here - many people know of the Paul Newman/Joanne Woodward factor, but the playhouse actually dates back to 1930, and their stage has been graced by the likes of Liza Minelli, Kitty Carlisle, Henry Fonda, Eva Gabor, and Jane Fonda. We also just received approval on a couple of internet projects for a Connecticut hospital. One of the first is a site for bariatrics. That surgery that helps obese people lose weight. We're stoked about this - it's a classic opportunity to connect with real humans and make a difference in their lives. Not often that we get to do that, in the design and branding world. We won five Ad Club awards! I'm pretty sure that's the most we've ever won at any one show. Pretty stoked. The rebranding of our agency to Plaid is in full swing. We've pretty much selected a logo, designed the new concept for the website, and involved the community in the process. You can read the play by play at our re-branding blog, ThinkPlaid. I'm on vacation next week!! Some exciting and super smart bloggers will be filling my shoes while I'm away. Labels: healthcare, plaid, thisweekatVIA, via

this week at via/plaid Here's what happened this week at the world's most tartan design and branding firm: We sent an email blast to our clients and friends, announcing the fact that our agency will be changing its name, and rebranding as Plaid. Lots of fun and excitement. We just noticed that Brand Flakes turned two years old last month. We forgot about it. We didn't even have cake! Meanwhile, I have a new post over at the SmartBiz blog about the importance of working with a pro, for everything web 2.0. An article featuring some of our music industry work was featured in OMMA magazine (membership required). Look for the cover above, and you'll see screen shots for our Brooke Valentine and Janet Jackson projects. Cool stuff. We've begun interviews for the design position that's open here. Awesome candidates, great portfolios, fun people. This is going to be hard. Bill Green, from Make the Logo Bigger stopped by our offices to say hi, while traveling through CT. So cool to meet a favorite blogger in person. Because I've been reading his blog forever, it felt like we were already friends - but great to finally meet him in person. We should schedule a blogger blast somewhere in NYC for all of the regional bloggers. I'm tired of hearing about all of the midwestern creatives having fun get-togethers. On the Plaid side of the fence, we announced a new partnership that will become PlaidTV, and allow us to produce film and TV quality work for the internet. And for the TV. Nick pointed us to the House of Tartan, where you can make your own custom Plaid pattern, which is really cool. We're in the midst of designing what will be our agency's new website and company identity, and blogging about all of the details at ThinkPlaid. Geez, I think that's enough for a week. Have a great weekend/holiday everyone! Labels: plaid, thisweekatVIA, via

this week at via Here's what happened this week at the world's most plaid design and branding firm: Geez - this was a crazy week. We announced that we're re-branding our firm - from VIA to Plaid. You can read about the entire process as we build the Plaid brand, on ThinkPlaid.com. We welcome comments and input. Yesterday, we posted some logo ideas. More cool announcements coming next week. We launched a site redesign for Union Savings Bank, a regional bank chain in CT. You'll especially appreciate Dave's design work when you see the "before" screen grab. Giuli got to play the part of a hand model for a postcard campaign that Justus is working on. And she touched a Wii, in the process. She walks around the office wearing gloves now, and insists that everyone open doors for her. I began the interview process for the design position we have open. Interviews continue over the next couple of weeks. Send your stuff if you're interested. We're looking for an intern this summer, too. Know of anyone? Please send them our way. We'll be nice. Mostly. this week at via ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most popular design and branding firm: I wrote a piece for the SmartBiz blog on Twitter. If you haven't already registered a Twitter name, you might want to do so. I'm finding, that especially with tech-oriented news, you hear about things on Twitter at least a day before blogs. And still more than a week or two before mainstream media. ;) Leigh's down in FLA shopping for homes. Reminder, agencies in Orlando, this is your big chance. We're narrowing down candidates for interviews for Leigh's position. It's not too late to get in the door. Giuli turned 30 this week. Sooo old. She's leaving now for the early bird special. Both David AND Justus got flat tires this week. We're pretty sure that Leigh's cutting tires in the parking lot. With a switchblade. We received our first samples of the Flambeau River Papers sample book that Leigh designed. Awesome. Beautiful. Wonderful. Met with a real estate development company about the branding of a new property they're developing. It's a unique property, geared towards 20-30 somethings. We've never worked on brand strategy for a property development before, so we're pretty stoked about the possibilities. We've got some really, really, really big news to announce next week....stay tuned. Labels: thisweekatVIA, via

this week at via Here's what happened this week at the world's most snowlicious design and branding firm: Our rooftop patio says "it's time to be warm. It's time to relax in the sun and drink alcoholic beverages." Winter should be over now. What a crazy week. Loads of new business pitches. We had a wonderful meeting with a hospital about a re-branding campaign, a lesser than exciting company that makes widgets, and a fairly prominent theater. The hospital's pretty much on board, and we're feeling good about the others. Spent a lot of time experimenting with Twitter. Presented conceptual work to a bunch of clients, including an exciting new Second Life project. We actually had an outside designer present to us. This was a real weird experience, as we're not accustomed to sitting on the client side of the table. We've been buried beyond belief, and haven't had the right amount of time to devote to self promo stuff. Got some really cool input, ideas and design work. More later. OH YEAH - We're hiring. You know you want to work here. Let's make it happen. Labels: thisweekatVIA, via

this week at via ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most nifty design and branding firm: Paul completed a project for the band KoRn, tied to their new release hitting this week. Some crazy back-end magic, that's a really impressive feat, if you're into that crazy back-end magic stuff. Quite a busy week for Leigh. She launched a site that had the LONGEST project timeline in our company's history, for a b2b client. (Not due to anything on our side, btw) She also completed two interactive games - a racing game, and a "something to do while you're in boring meetings" game. Both are going to be cool when launched. If that wasn't enough, Leigh received board approval on the design work she did for the City of Danbury, CT for a brand new identity, and street banner system that will grace the town by springtime. Justus completed a fun video clip for RMI, promoting the American Lung Association. The clip is now featured on their home page. More important than anything - we discovered that David once had a mullet. You can see him in all his teenage glory, above. Mighty mullet - AND a sly look. Looks like he's got some game. Stylin'. this week at via David and Leigh discovered that Giuli pronounces iPod Nano like she's from England. Or from a really snotty suburb of Connecticut. She pronounces it "Naaahno." People from the south are wacky. David and Paul launched a site redesign for a small accounting firm. It's a first stage launch, and there will be more to come. Silly accountants. Leigh nearly finished two online games as part of a larger project, that we'll be launching soon. It'll be a fun way to waste some time, when it's live. We just started working with the ECA. This will be awesome. They're a group devoted to fighting for gamer's rights. Can't wait to tell you more about what we're planning. Leigh went to Colorado to go skiing this weekend. We're all jealous. I think we'll put peanut butter on her office chair, just to teach her a lesson. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most murderous design and branding firm: Wednesday, we had two simultaneous shoots at the agency. David directed some portraits for a bank president, for a site redesign we're working on. Justus, Giuli and I had another video shoot with the guys in haz mat suits. Always fun. I got publicity shots taken by uber shooter Derek Dudek. He actually made me look like a humanoid. With a little Photoshop work, I could actually be presentable. We produced a quick litty ditty about Britney, and her head, for HeadBlade. Oh, Britney. We launched a site redesign for Mokai. What a cool product. We'll continue building the site out in the next few weeks, but the new design (David's work) is awesome. Today, we all ate lunch at a restaurant we've re-named "Murder Burger." Under the previous ownership, the restaurant manager was murdered, cut up on a meat slicer in the kitchen, and put into seven different garbage bags. The place has had a couple of new owners since, and we ate there on a dare today. I stayed away from the ground beef. Mmmm. I've started writing blog posts for SmartBiz. We're going to have a post a week that will be featured simultaneously on both BrandFlakes and the SmartBiz blogs. Brand Flakes, is syndicated! We're stoked. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via Here's what happened at this week at the world's most freezing (yes, still freezing) design and branding firm: Justus, Giuli and I had a shoot that included a shot of a guy in a hazmat suit - pictured above. Always a good time. Such a surreal scene, on the top of a parking deck. I'm pretty sure we made some people in the office building across the way a little nervous. I'm really surprised that officials from Boston didn't drive down and arrest us. Or shoot the poor model in the hazmat suit. I held a boatload of meetings this week, leading to some really cool new services we plan on offering - real soon. Loads and loads and loads of production work. So many projects right in mid-stream, or a week or two away from launching. Looking forward to closure on a few of them! We had our first (and last?) winter storm of the season. Whoopee. this week at via ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most freezing design and branding firm: Paul and Justus nearly launched a new promotion for Virgin Records, including several of their artists. Should launch Monday or Tuesday, and will be pretty cool. Leigh closed a project that she thought might not ever finish. One of those go on forever projects. It's a beautiful swatchbook for the Flambeau River Papers Company, in Wisconsin. Once printed, we'll post pics. Truly a beautiful piece. Lots of projects in the "almost done" stage. Started a couple of new things, and absolutely buried in production on current stuff. Nothing new to show, but plenty of headway made. At least that's the story we're sticking with. A few of us are braving the temps in the teens and going snowboarding tonight. Giuli's taking her first ever snowboard lesson. She'll be sore on Monday. The pic of New Kids on the Block is for your entertainment. Couldn't think of anything else appropriate for this week. NKOTB rocks, yo. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most mullet-hating design and branding firm: Leigh launched a Valentine promotional site for artist Joss Stone. You can create your own V-day card, and send it to your valentine. Or anyone else that might appreciate a photo of Joss Stone, with a lot of body paint. It just launched earlier this week, and already it's a big hit. Lots of pink. We presented concepts for a site redesign for Mokai. This is a site we designed ages ago (and was since broken by the client ;P). We'll be giving the brand a nice, new face lift. David's doing the work. Leigh designed a new identity system for CityCenter, Danbury. We presented first stage conceptual work, that includes a new logo and banners that will be installed throughout the city. Next steps, committees and board approval. Yikes. Lots and lots of production for projects in mid-stream. Justus is blasting old school Boyz to Men in our office right now. He's showing off his Carlton dancing skills. There's something wrong with that guy. If he weren't so big, I'd say something - but for now, I'll just pretend to enjoy it. "Boyz II Men and back again..." Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via Here's what happened this week at the world's most rockalicious design and branding firm: Our accountant stopped by to do our audit, year end close, or whatever it is accountants do when they're locked in a conference room all day. We try and keep our distance from guys in suits. Even though our accountant is cool, and travels with his dog, Jackson. (Likely the only Nova Scotia Duck-Tolling Retriever in Tribeca) David, Giuli and I shot some awesome video and still photos for a project we're doing with Spherion. We were shooting in HD video for the first time. The shots looked awesome. Pretty amazing day - video, still photography, and two sound stages working overtime. Our makeup artist used an airbrush for the actors - which I guess is standard for HD, but is pretty amazing to see. Leigh nearly launched an online valentine promotion for Joss Stone. Should be live for next week. I presented concepts to a new construction and development company. Justus is producing a really unique print collateral piece that should totally rock their industry. It was ONE DEGREE outside this morning. I'm dreaming of a Santa Monica office at this very moment. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's greatest design and branding firm: Leigh started work on a special Valentine project for Joss Stone. Mmmmm. Joss Stone. David and Giuli cast for a production that we're shooting next week. There are eleven parts to cast for, and a wide range of talent. David really wanted to include the model pictured above, but we didn't think the client would go for it, since it's a corporate audience. (Mostly, it was Giuli who disapproved - I personally didn't see anything wrong with her. Giuli's always getting in the way like that.) We came SOOO close to launching three sites, for three different clients. So frustrating when you're 99.9% there, and can't get that one last thing done. Or approved. Almost... We installed some enhancements to our alarm system, after last week's office break-in. Mostly Vietnam style boobie traps. Hehe. Winter arrived. It snowed last night. First time ever that WE received snow AFTER southern California, Texas and Florida. There will be snowboarding this weekend, for sure. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via Here's what happened this week at the world's most exciting design and branding firm: Justus won Lotto. Not enough to retire, but a few thousand dollars. And then he ran to the Apple store. Because that's what designers do, when they fall into money. We were robbed. Some asshat broke into our office over the weekend. Funny, that after smashing through a window, he walked right past several g5 computers, an iBook laptop, and loads of expensive video equipment. He opted instead to rifle through drawers, looking for cash. Hehe. Cash. In a design firm. Clearly, he didn't understand. Luckily, our alarm system worked, and scared him off before he had time to realize his stupidity. We presented conceptual internet work for new client Spherion. Looks like this will be a fun project, some cool people, and spectacular end results. More later. Presented conceptual work for an accounting firm's website, an outdoor adventure program company, and dug into concepts for a Kayak manufacturer. We're off to a good start in January! Winter came for a day. It was cold on Wednesday. But today it's back near 50 degrees. We all want to snowboard. Bad. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via Here's what happened this week at the world's hottest design and branding firm: I thought I saw a dead person. While peaking over the roof from our patio, I thought I saw a dead guy, on a heap of garbage. That's the pic above. Click, and you'll see the body. There's even a mob car there, as if it was just freshly dumped. But no such excitement. It turns out someone put a dummy in the garbage. And, oh, how nice our back alley looks, huh? HeadBlade launched the new site we designed for them. They handled all of the programming and implementation themselves - but the design concept is all ours. I found out a good friend of mine just left Mullen. If anyone's looking for a uber talented art/creative interactive director, let me know. Leigh got a new machine this week, but refused to pose in the "i'm a mac" costume to celebrate. It's because she's a vampiress, and doesn't show up on film. Or pixels. David, our new intern started this week. We went to a company lunch today, and tried to convince him that interns usually pay on their first lunch. He didn't fall for it - so he's definitely smarter than most of us, and on his way to a great career in design. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via Here's what happened this week at the world's most santalicious design and branding firm: The site that we produced for Janet Jackson earlier in the year, DesignMe, was just listed as the NUMBER ONE user-generated-media site, by Billboard magazine! See a partial pirate scan of the page here. Sweet! If you've seen Santa Hunters, then you know that David's Jewish. But that doesn't mean he doesn't love Santa. No sir. Here's proof. David launched the site he's been working on for Switchfoot. It's called OhGravity! and it's pretty cool. You get to listen to the new Switchfoot single, while watching people bang their heads on pavement, crotches on rails and faces on logs. Nothing says great entertainment like guys getting messed up on skateboards, surfboards and bikes. Nice. Eliza delivered the biggest load of sugary goodness that you ever did see. For real. She needed a luggage cart to carry it into the office. I'm pretty sure we've all added a couple of pounds to our mid-sections, cuz there's only a couple of cookies left. Can't believe that all fit in our bellies. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via Here's what happened this week at the world's most hoppin' design and branding firm: Leigh has lit the Brand Flakes Gift Guide on fire with a bunch of new ideas. If you haven't already checked this out - visit today for some creative gift ideas for creative people. David nearly completed a site he's been working on with Paul, for Switchfoot. Should launch next week. Titled Oh, Gravity!, the site pulls clips from YouTube that feature crashes, faceplants and other pleasant action sport type incidents. I think this is a great use of existing technology and tools, and bringing them together to create something unique. And it's fun to watch people destroy themselves. ;) Leigh completed work on a site for K-OS, which when live, will allow fans to upload their own photos to be featured in the online video player. Great video, and cool work. Not launching till January, and we can't wait for you to see it. Leigh designed logos for an island we're working on in Second Life. Much more on this later. David worked on some conceptual treatments for a new Snowboard Catalog for SnowJam, Zuma and Spice brands. Justus conceptualized a sales brochure for a new kind of residential construction company. We tested hippity hops in our office this week. We even popped one. Giuli is pictured above, with the evidence. Didn't really think that was possible with industrial rubber, but it is. only 4 days till sugar coma ![]() There's one thing that we love here more than cool t-shirts, more than a casual dress code, more than Apple products (well, maybe). And that thing is sugary treats. And - it just so happens that our most talented-with-the-words copywriter has yet another supreme gift. The talent of baking. The truth is, Eliza could quit her career of writing brilliant ad copy and internet content today, and retire to a life of baked goodness. Each year, on a very special day, Eliza shows up to our office with a bag of this magic. Just the thought of one concoction in particular, "white trash", has had us salivating since the day after Thanksgiving. So, Leigh put together the countdown widget above signaling how many days are left before we go into sugar coma. In the meantime, we've been filling our stomachs with rice and bird seed, in an effort to stretch them, so we can eat even more. If you're in the area (or want to book air travel now), use the countdown clock above as your guide. Mmmmmmm. White Trash. Labels: thisweekatVIA

this week at via ![]() Here's what happened this week at the world's most holiday-ready design and branding firm: Our client gifts shipped out today. If you're on our list, there's a fun surprise, in a huge box. They literally filled a warehouse, as you can see above. VIA clients: have a tip ready for the FedEx guy - cuz he's probably going to be pissed. We produced a cute video for RMI Direct Marketing's holiday card. At a photo shoot, Leigh hung our intern Ryan, from a ladder, wearing someone else's pants, and some shiny shoes. Partially, a test to see what he's capable of - but mostly because she needed to create a shot of someone "walking on air." We produced several videos for Union Savings Bank, a regional bank chain, to play in their lobbies on flat screens. The billboard we designed for Mohawk Mountain went up. We'll have to get a shot of the actual board, but in the meantime, here's a digital version of the ad. Pretty cool. And they opened today - so snowboarding and skiing are in our near future. this week at via - leigh didn't fart episode Here's what happened this week at the world's most tab-friendly design and branding firm: Today I celebrated my birthday. And we celebrated with my love of Tab. It's what real men drink - don't believe that girlie advertising. We had a couple of fun shoots this week - one for a client, where we actually got to put a person INSIDE a giant inflatable snow globe. Oh, the fun you can have inside a snowglobe. Try it sometime. At a shoot for a self promotional piece that we're producing, umm...how can i say this...well, here's the story: We're all sitting in the conference room, playing our parts for the camera and we hear a very loud BRRRRRFFFFT. I'm not sure how you spell fart sound - but you get the picture. We quickly attributed the sound to Leigh. Mostly because she's so dainty and lady like. That's what you get around here. Anyway - as soon as it's edited, we'll of course share the sound that rocked the agency. Coming soon to a YouTube near you. (For the record, there was no real fart. Just construction noise from downstairs.) Oh yeah - and there was some work this week too. Paul and David are working on a new microsite for Switchfoot, and also doing some work for 30 Seconds to Mars. Leigh's working on a cool social site for k-os. Justus and Brent produced some slick video work for Union Savings Bank, a regional bank chain, while David and Eliza continued work on their web re-design. That's all that I can remember now. I'm old, you know. Labels: thisweekatVIA, via

happy birthday, eliza Today is Eliza's birthday. She's not here - but we didn't think that should stop us from celebrating. And you know how we love cake. Eliza's our copywriter. She comes up with all kinds of witty things, and is always correcting our grammar and stuff. So rather than the typical creative photo cake, we went with a simple "e is for eliza." Tasted the same. We did cut her a piece, but since she's not here, it's probably going to melt. Happy b-day, e. Labels: thisweekatVIA
