stuff to annoy your friends with today ![]() Coworker Rob says "welcome to annoying internet day," of today. Maybe it's best just to stay away from blogs and Twitter this afternoon, as everyone works hard to out do each other's April Fool's pranks and announcements. While you're avoiding everyone else's lame-o pranks, you could use the time productively, and annoy your coworkers. Lifeehacker delivers a fun list of the 10 most harmless pranks. Go ahead. You know you want to. Either that, or light your boss's car on fire. Hilarity will ensue.

how to beat the iphone: watch nokia ![]() Nokia's on fire. They've got sweet product placement in Cloverfield. They've got new web2.0 services like Qik practically dependent on them. And they've got something the iPhone doesn't have: video. You can trick your iPhone into recording video. And some future software release (or the next iPhone) will surely include this. But for now - Nokia's taking advantage of the situation. They're even (supposedly) putting together a nice deal with Facebook. They've found features and benefits that offer something the iPhone can't - and are doing everything they can to make you want them. That's marketing. Awesome. adfitti: the best thing to happen to advertising ![]() Advertising grafitti is what I adore most about the NY subway system. The Denver Egotist points to a photo set of Decapitator's work - a most adlicious collection of outdoor ads edited for your artification. These are all from east London. While I'm depressed that we've exported High School Musical to our friends in England, I'm at least stoked that they're doing something creative with the ads. Labels: ads, hacks, outdoor, streetart

everything about everything about inernet marketing ![]() Here's a massive list of the best internet marketing blog posts. How to do almost anything on almost any social tool. Lots of great reading if you're stuck at the office this week while everyone else is on vacation. They'll come back fatter, and you'll be smarter. (Always better.) The pic of David Hasselhoff might seem related, but this is a pic that I snapped right as he was jumping onto a social media bandwagon. So it's related, trust me. illustrating with html Send this to your geeky friend. A pretty impressive video clip of an illustration crafted entirely in html code. Ask your dorky friend - she'll confirm that this is an impressive feat. Soundtrack may give you a seizure. Labels: hacks, illustration, viral, webdev

send hacking coughs to your friends Ogilvy Interactive launched a site for client Pfizer, in celebration of World No Tobacco Day, that lets users send a smoker's cough to their friends. You can customize the cough, length of cough, even choose who delivers the cough to your friend's cell phone. (You also have to speak French or Flemish.) I only wish they had a version where you could send a cough in the voice of Suzyn Waldman at a Yankees game. Labels: branding, hacks, marketing

text my shirt for a special message Reactee has invented a shirt that people can text. Sort of. Buy the shirt, and you get a special code (and a shirt with instructions) that people can text. They'll get a special message from you. And of course, with the power of the internet, you can change that message to whatever you want. Whenever you want. This would be cool for street teams, who have loads of models taking over a neighborhood. What a fun way to find out what's happening. And with texting, people can communicate with each other, without talking to each other. And, I guess that's a good thing. make the internet black Somebody who's pretty good at math has determined that if the Google page were designed in all black, we'd save a bunch of energy. And so, someone created Blackle. Why stop there? Let's make the entire internet black on black, with grey highlights. Or you could just remove Google from your life. Blasphemy. Labels: design, hacks, technology, webdev

youtube hack for today It's Friday. You've watched the clip of tapeface 36 times. You really want to save it to your hard drive, so that you can watch it forever and ever. Knufflebunneh points out a cool YouTube hack that makes it all possible. Just add the word 'kiss' in front of the YouTube video url ( e.g http://www.KISSyoutube.com/watch?v=fwFBoxpg5QA) and you're taken right to the download screen. So much for productivity.
