uniqlo t-shirt promo rocks. again. ![]() Uniqlo, the greatest store in all of the land, has produced yet another awesome interactive piece to promote their new line of t-shirts. Users can sample "beats" made from clips of Uniqlo models, and put them together in a way that it creates an original loop. The result is a never-ending loop, created by users. While listening/watching, you can vote on favorite loops - which then pushes more popular loops further forward in the "song". This is amazing work on so many levels. Time to go t-shirt shopping. flash: now available on facebook. ![]() Both scary and exciting at the same time. Facebook is allowing Flash on their company pages. This is a big deal. Could be a massive boon for brands, and a major annoyance for Facebook users. Can't wait to see how this develops. In the meantime, we're beginning to experiment. More, soon. unscrew america ![]() It's a pretty rare event that conceptual, strategy, copywriting, design, illustration, sound design and flash development all converge to produce something great. Unscrew America is just that type of project. The goal is to inform people about energy-efficient CFLs and LEDs - and also make sure people know that CFLs contain mercury and have to be properly recycled. The incredible online component to the campaign feature beautious Flash animation, video, audio, writing, and everything else. Boom Design Group and their sister company Fluid did the Flash and sound design and video. There's also print ads and even a tv component, which includes a role for Paul Reubens. Can't wait to see that. Nice campaign, by GSD&M. Nice job!! Labels: ads, copywriting, creativeinspiration, Flash, illustration, nonprofit

eckerd college says happy holidays ![]() The e-holiday cards are starting to roll in. Eckerd College talked their President into a funny little holiday production. Sure to be appreciated by anyone who's a part of the creative/internet industrial work force. Some great lines like "I just have to think of something funny, put the funny in the computer, and spit out a card. How long can that take?" And "No....I need it now!"(Who hasn't had a client think it's that easy?) I like that the management has a sense of humor. That's so rare in an educational environment, and says a lot about the leadership. Kudos, Mr Eckerd President. (And nice sweater.)

flash as a fine art tool ![]() Think Flash is just for animating flying cows? Artist Erik Natzke uses it to produce some beautious artwork. Not that flying cows aren't beautiful. In their own special way.

throw a lamb out of a plane ![]() The dudes over at Koko Digital have created a cute game for the Make a Wish Foundation, called Lamb Chop Drop. I thought it might be a game where a lamb gets dropped into a meat grinder - but it turns out that it's actually a really cute game with a lamb that parachutes. The "Donate your final score" feature at the end of the game is a nice touch. Rob and Ryan from our office may especially appreciate this one. Labels: Flash, gaming, nonprofit

best site intro sale promotion ever ![]() I can't understand a word of this, and aren't familiar with the HEMA brand...but wow. Normally website intros suck ass and are meant for 2002 style sites. But this rocks. No really. Thanks Suzy! Labels: branding, design, Flash, retail

Current is cool. ![]() Just discovered Current. This is an awesome place on so many levels. Really smart, inspiring design. (Check out the navigation in the "on tv" section.) Loads of engaging content. Detailed howto's that help users create stronger content. And - yes, it's social. I'm as tired as everyone else of new social networks - but this one rocks. Elements of Digg, of YouTube, of Facebook, CNN and so much more. Check it out and spend some otherwise productive time exploring. ;) Labels: design, Flash, social media, television, trends, video, web2.0, youthmarketing

something to put on your screen instead of work ![]() This is cool. The original ZoomQuilt, released back in 2005, wasn't animated like this (if memory serves correct. And it usually doesn't anymore.) Anyway, check out ZoomQuilt II, and be totally mesmerized. Thanks Druyff! Labels: art, creativeinspiration, Flash, illustration

uniqlo black is the new black ![]() My favorite place in the world to spend money has yet another beautiful promotional site. Uniqlo has consistently created beautiful, stunning and engaging promotional sites. Uniqlo fans spend time with these sites like midwestern housewives spend with the Lands End catalog. (Not that there's anything wrong with that.) And they're falling in love with apparel in the process. Fantastic marketing. Labels: branding, creativeinspiration, fashion, Flash, marketing

light gets sexy and mysterious ![]() Check out this really cool 'waste your productive time away while you stare at your screen piece' produced for Philips, to promote their new flat screens. (That is, check it out after you wait for the ridiculous load time.) And I think I'm in love with that woman's voice. Thanks Kip! Labels: Flash, television, video

time for some man luge Geez, that sounds so crude. But Man Luge is actually a game created to promote Dial For Men. Specifically, Dial for hairy, overweight, sock-garter wearing men. And the object is is to go down a luge naked, and avoid womanly things. Going down a luge naked. Always a good time. From Adrants.

mmmm. penthouse. With all of the naked-ness on the internet, I didn't realize that Penthouse was still a relevant brand. Maybe that's the point with this viral-style production called My Pleasure Pet. You get to entertain a Penthouse pet, until she gets hot. Then special videos are unlocked. You get the picture. (Mostly safe for work, until you unlock the special goodies. But then again, you probably don't want your boss seeing you cruising this site, regardless. Better to leave this kind of internet surfing to the pros.) I didn't really spend any time here at all. No, really. Hardly a moment. Not with all of this work on my desk...Thanks Rob! flying doggie navigation is the next big thing The guy that owns the cleaning company responsible for keeping our offices from looking like the Sanford and Sons office was just telling us how his son was in a band. And that he does some website design too. It turns out he's in a REALLY cool band - and their website ROCKS. Check it out when you have a minute. Really, really fun navigation that features a fun magic flying dog. To make matters worse, while we're hard at work in lonely, grey New England, his son is on his way to tour Japan. Proof that I should have been a rock star. Labels: creativeinspiration, Flash, youthmarketing

that's a lot of milk How much milk would you have to sell, to pay for this production? If you were amazed at the production quality of Get the Glass, then you'll have the air sucked out of your lungs when you see the behind the scenes of how the glass was built. Geez. What we would give, for HALF of that production budget. Found on Spyline. Labels: ads, creativeinspiration, Flash, yummyfood

tired of meetings? kill yourself. This is the best game I've seen in a while, now. But then again, I enjoy putting my face into a paper shredder. To celebrate the fact that Adult Swim programs can now be watched on your computer, (side note: TV is evolving) they've released Five Minutes to Kill Yourself. Everything about this production is stellar: concept, music, and the fact that your avatar has about five outfits to choose from that are exactly the same. Excellent work. Naturally, someone somewhere will be horribly offended by this, and attempt to stop us all from killing ourselves. Spew blood while you can. Labels: ads, Flash, tv, workplace

nike second coming isn't really. Geez, it's been a while since we've seen some really great, interactive work from Nike. In the old days, they were often first with cool Flash work. They've just launched a new campaign, titled Second Coming, which for me, didn't do much. An online video mashup that, as a tool - has been done, and is no longer impressive. Would have been awesome if they brought something new to it, and made it unique. If you're going to be brazen and title your campaign 'Second Coming," it had better deliver. So far, I'm not a believer. Labels: ads, fashion, Flash, sports marketing, video

kohler flushes everything Now you can play with the toilet and a sexy plumber. Kohler's created Kohler Class Five to illustrate how well their toilets flush. You can choose objects like flowers, towels and even a bra and let sexy Jo the plumber help you flush it down. I spent too much time here. From Todd And.

put a whale in your browser The Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society has produced a site where you can put a life size whale on your desktop. For real. You don't even need a widescreen. You can view it 1024 pixels at a time. Or whatever your pixel preference might be. So simple, yet totally clever concept. From Core 77.

uber parka mega mix The new, coolest store in the world has a fun way for you to shop for parkas. By mixing music and dancers. And it's not just the home page. The concept is carried very well all the way through to the product pages. Awesome work. You can also create an obnoxious mix, turn it up really loud, leave the room, and annoy your fellow cubicle dwellers. If you roll like that. I just like to shop for parkas. see how cavemen live ![]() Crazy about the cavey? Geico has created the Caveman's Crib. Caveman fans can rejoice and explore, hang out, or watch tv with the caveman. (They should have included an episode of Captain Caveman.) You can even pick out outfits for him to wear. I'm actually enjoying his iPod. And I've already spent way too much time there. Really well done. Found on MakeTheLogoBigger. Labels: automotive, Flash, viral

good stuff to keep you unproductive Two really impressive Flash productions have come to my attention in the last couple of days. The first, Roxic, allows users to create their own animated character, who immediately comes to life, replicates into a cast of thousands and dances. Your character dances live, until he's replaced by the next user's character. It's social. Pretty cool. Next is Hedgehog, which I guess works a little like Sonic the Hedgehog (hence the name), but I'm really not sure, not having been a hedgehog fan. I've got a pretty short attention span for video games, especially Flash games. Everything has been done before. But Hedgehog is pretty cool. The game play isn't anything you haven't seen before - but the fluid, smooth Flash work is awesome. Careful, it's Monday. Your boss will expect some work to be done today. agency rocks out with their xmas card ![]() This is pretty entertaining. In a bad harmony, poor dancing, good thing they're in advertising kind of way. A rockin' good time from agency Proximity. Watch it over and over. Other agencies should do their own version of this song - or use the Proximity version, and produce new versions of the video. We could re-create the dance scenes. Oh, the fun. It could live forever. From Adrants. Labels: Flash, self promotion, video

a holiday card - behind the scenes ![]() Rather than build a typical college holiday card, Eckerd College produced a program showing how they arrived at their holiday card. Really funny. The web dudes rule - although I can't believe they gave away that "add snow" secret from Photoshop. Now all the clients are going to want that. Nice work.
