facebook is like crack. ![]() These shirts totally, completely, awesomely ROCK. I can't think of anyone that wouldn't totally love you for putting this under the tree. And - it's a pet project from a fellow ad/creative geek Lee Washington, at Cake, London! Just because the prices are listed in Pounds, doesn't mean that you can't buy them in the US. (Don't worry creative peeps - your credit card company will do all of the math for you.) Just order today. Labels: apparel, computers, creatives, designers, geeks, tshirts

usb turntable ![]() In my basement, I have about six boxes packed tight with vinyl records that I just can't let go of. And I know that I'm not alone here. A USB recordable turntable is the perfect gift for the music fan that needs to get their vinyl onto their ipod. Or for the person that needs to clean out their basement. stress clock ![]() Personally, this clock creates great stress for me. Numbers. Lots of numbers. Reminiscent of math, and deadlines. But some people really dig that stuff, and if they do, this would be the perfect clock for them. Leigh likes it, which I don't get, cuz she's the only person that I've met that hates math more than I do. Labels: designers, geeks, home

creative commons, eff donations ![]() Can't stand the commercialization of Christmas? Don't want to buy into consumerism? (cmon, it's fun). Really like to give a charitable donation instead of (or in addition to) gifts? There are about six cabillion worthy non-profits, all who desperately need your hard earned cash. And you should definitely give to a few. (Feel free to list your favorites in comments.) But if you want to impress a creative person, give to a charity that means something in their industry. Two that come to mind for internet workers: Creative Commons and the EFF. You can even get some bitchin' t-shirts, (here and here) and celebrate with an actual gift WHILE help a great cause. to hell with legos I absolutely love legos - who doesn't - but Pixel Blocks are just awesome. I can see a crowd of adults fighting for blocks (sorry - pixels) on xmas day. Fun for everyone. Thanks Leigh! Labels: artists, designers, geeks

light up leather ![]() This is a cool watch. At first glance, it's just a leather band. But the band has been studded with red LED's that make it a watch. And they can animate, if you like. Nice.

little creatures in plastic globes that tell you when your cell is ringing ![]() Hang a Mopod from your bag, your jacket, whatever - and when your cell phone rings, your Mopod monster will spin around, and light light up. Not sure how people ever survived without these. What a cool gift. Labels: geeks

solar battery charger ![]() Solio makes this really cool 'extra battery' that you can charge up using that big ball of fire in the sky - and then use it to re-charge your phone, camera, whatever - when you're stuck in a pinch without an outlet. They also make some pretty awesome ipod cases and things from recycled tires. From People Against Dirty. Thanks Giuli!

unnecessary phone accessory ![]() I always think that the best gifts are the things you don't really need, and that you wouldn't likely buy for yourself. But that you totally dig. And this old school phone handset is just the thing. Can't you just see your friends cradling it between their head and neck as they're driving around town?

self destruct usb hub ![]() This is a little pricey for a usb hub - but I swear any recipient who knows what a usb hub is will totally appreciate this. So don't give this gift to your mom. And don't bring it on a plane.
