old school typewriters are the rage
Fred Flare is selling real deal Olivetti typewriters. Apparently, the very last typewriter still in production today.
You could probably also get a nice IBM Selectric at the local pawn shop. Anyway, the writer on your list will love you for appreciating the old school craft. Even if it's only used as decoration, or a conversation piece.
