We’re all guilty of swinging through the drive-thru when we
don’t have time to make a nutritious meal at home. But what if you could get a nutritious meal in the same exact amount of time and the same convenience as the drive-through experience? Would you be just as likely to
stop?
Salad and Go, a new
drive-thru only concept in Arizona is hoping the answer is yes. They’ve started
with 6 locations, serving delicious-looking salads with various protein and
other healthy fare such as soups, smoothies, and breakfast. The real kicker
here is that due to the low overhead of not having a dine-in location, the
average salad will only set you back around $7. This model aligns Salad and Go
closer to traditional fast food restaurants than fast casual restaurants, which
sometimes require a trip inside and tend to take a little longer.
The experience sounds pretty good – fast food pricing and convenience with a higher quality, healthier product. Don’t want to try and eat salad in your car? No problem, the location has you covered with outdoor tables for you to enjoy your fare. Now there’s no excuse not to eat healthy…is there?
