You have probably heard at some point that teddy bears are not only for kids, but businessmen too or really anybody! I, personally, will raise my hand as bringing my teddy bear, Oscar, to college…you know just for one of those very few lonely nights. For this reason and due to the decline in mall shopping, Build-A-Bear Workshop has taken their previously brick-and-mortar only concept to the seas, as part of a partnership with Carnival Cruise Line. By the summer of 2017 Build-A-Bear Workshops will be on 25 vessels, where the average passenger is 50 years old. I think that this is genius, as both cruises and Build-A-Bear Workshop are all about the experience, and both brands bring have the ability to bring customers a unique and memorable experience through this partnership. Not only is it a fun experience to do on ship, but what a better way to remember your overall experience by than bringing home your own customized travel companion for life! Now I may be a bit partial because the aforementioned Oscar was “adopted” from the Big Red Boat Disney Cruise some years ago, however, it’s a “beary” good concept. In addition to Carnival, Build-A-Bear Workshop has taken their mobile concept to AMC theatres, where consumers can purchase bear versions of characters from right off the big screen.
All aboard...including teddy bears!
