girl powered out?

The ad world has seen a lot of girl power-focused campaigns over the last few months (check out how Always did it), and they've been viral, inspiring, and all around "warm and fuzzy." However, perhaps the toy company GoldieBlox might be taking girl power a little too literally by having their float at this year's Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade powered by girls walking, biking, and cranking the devices on the float. While advocating for young girls to reach their full potential and giving them the confidence and power to do so is admirable, this feels a little...publicity stunt-y, and maybe even bordering child labor.
