battle of the brands

Oooh first there was The Logo Game, and now there's another board game for us ad industry nerds: brand-centric Monopoly, called Empire.

To promote the game, a bunch of big brands featured in the game were pitted against each other one Facebook in the "Battle of the Brands" to see who could get 5,000 likes first to their post promoting the game.

Interestingly, as AdFreak points out, Carnival Cruises was the first to surpass the goal with only 2.2MM fans as compared to Coca-Cola who has over 73MM fans, proving that just because a brand has a lot of fans, doesn't mean they're listening or engaging.
