book a room with the homeless

Faktum is a street newspaper and organization in Gothenburg, Sweeden whose sole purpose is to raise awareness of the homelessness in Gothenburg and to create jobs to get the homeless back on their feet. In fact, the homeless are the ones that sell the newspaper.

In an effort to raise awareness they created a fake "hotel" booking website called Faktum Hotels, complete with photos shot by a Conde Nast photographer and fancy language just like swanky hotels use. On the site visitors can book "rooms" throughout the city where the homeless are known to live.

And of course booking a room (for yourself or as a gift) manifests as a donation to the organization. Very nice!
