you get a gold star.

Remember how special you felt when you got a star on your paper, in first grade?

Internet sensation Ze Frank just launched his latest project, and it looks to re-create that sensation in a social network. For grown ups.

Star.me is a social network geared toward giving your friends stars. For being awesome. For writing a good PowerPoint deck. Or for having a good hair day.

Think a social network that only rewards people can survive? Did you ever think people would tweet that they received a "badge" for checking in to a Superbowl on FourSquare? The more stars you give, the more you receive, and people who are extra special get even better stars to give. Sounds like Ze Frank has tapped into the classic game psychology required for social success, and realized that in the end, we all just want some recognition every now an then.
