give this idiot an Oscar

It's pretty easy these days for amateur filmmakers, or even any "idiot" with a camera, to make a pretty awesome video and slap it up on YouTube. Like this film by Jamie Stuart, Idiot with a Tripod, beautifully shot throughout the 2010 Snowpocalypse in Astoria, Queens. In fact, it's so brilliant that movie critic, Roger Ebert, has declared it Academy Award worthy on his blog. I know I'd rather watch this video, created in just a day with no budget, than some of the over-hyped, multi-billion dollar, Hollywood crap that was out there in 2010.
