you're not supposed to tweet this...

You're supposed to be spending today without Facebook, Twitter or other social tools. Basically, you should cease to exist today. Or at least in the social sphere. It's all part of Communication Shutdown day.

Why would you consider doing something so ridiculous? Because maybe it will raise some awareness (and money) about autism. And if you do choose to shut down for today, they'd really think you're cool if you gave just $5 to the cause. (And if you donate, they'll give you badges and all the tools you need to tell your friends that you're incommunicado today.)

We'd rather tweet about it, but respect those who are shutting down. (Maybe those of us who continue to live socially could give $10 as a communication tax today??) See you tomorrow.
