a different look at the mexican border

Geographer, cartologist, photographer and adventurer David Taylor has been documenting 276 obelisks, installed between the years 1892 and 1895 that mark and separate the American and Mexican border.

If you're in Culver City, CA tonight, you can meet Mr Taylor and listen in on his talk at the CLUI gallery space.

Or - maybe you should just plan a fun family geocaching vacation adventure. He's supplied the coordinates for many of obelisks. (Just bring grenades and flame throwers, in the event you run into drug cartel.)
