where mediocre art shines

Now there's a museum where all of the less than gorgeous work can be placed. The Museum of Poor Art (MOPA) is a Facebook page that celebrates the art that won't make it into MOMA. Or the Guggenheim. Or the Walmart housewares section.

Poor art placed together with other poor art creates a higher level of poor that will somehow leave you inspired. (This is begging to be a consumer promotion, btw.) From @coudal

Have you seen the Museum of Bad Art?

It's been around for a while, and its entertaining curator, Louise Sacco, recently spoke at Gel 2010. (PS: She has a great official title.)
