google wave for the community

The Seattle Times is using a public Google Wave to try and help catch that brutal killer in the northwest.

The public wave lets anyone (with a Google Wave account) contribute to the thread. This is one of the first massively public waves used in a timely community fashion, and it will be interesting to observe. From @l3ahb3tan

Terrible. Slow, convoluted, pointless. I knew that when people were actively talking about Chrome extensions and Engadget this "wave" had lost it's way.
