bing does maps

Microsoft's search engine Bing is getting all mapalicious. You'll love the "bird's eye view" of your house, or the house of that person you're stalking.

MarketingVox points out some of the social overlays that they've added, that definitely make the Bing map worthy of watching.

Bird's eye has been out forever (read: not forever, but a damn long time). It was available on maps.live.com before it switched to Bing. It is the ONLY thing Microsoft has ever done that has made me go, "cool!" -- well, besides the Windows 7 launch party promo, that was pure genius.

Nothing *REALLY* exists until it's been featured on Brand Flakes.

I'd like to think they just launched this feature minutes before this brilliant post.
