save your tweets for posterity

"Mommy, what did Grandpa used to tweet about?"

How many times have you feared this question of the future, and thought you'd have to answer with "I don't know. Your grandpa didn't save his tweets."

Twitter only allows you to see your most recent 3,200 tweets (although they keep them all on file.)

But now, thankfully, you can rest assured that your tweets can be protected for future generations and that pesky 2012 end of the world scenario. Thanks to the fine folks at Back Up My Tweets, you can do it free in exchange for tweeting about it. Seems fair.
