san fran: those flash mobs are messy.

San Fransisco is looking to crack down on flash mobs - because cleaning up after them is becoming costly.

Something to keep in mind if you're a brand, and you're planning to have all of your friends descend on Mission Street with mashed potatoes. Or shaving cream. Or whatever.

It's unfortunate, because the mess is just the result of people getting together and having fun in public, which seems to be a dying art lately. Apparently, even the government is pushing us to do our flash mobbing digitally and/or in a controlled environment. Bummer!
