what happens when you think outloud

If I had a thought bubble following me around, it would undoubtedly get me into some really embarrassing situations. HBO created a similar scene by placing actors with real thought bubbles over their heads.

One hundred and fifty actors displayed their "innermost thoughts, desires and secrets" on the streets of Los Angeles, Philadelphia Chicago and NYC. If they were asked about their thoughts, they'd hand out a flyer promoting the url for Big Love, a new show on HBO.

I loved their interactive billboards (http://thefutureofads.com/2009/01/07/hbo-shares-secrets-for-big-love/), but this seems a little... forced?

Where I do like these thought bubbles though is at gas stations. I think Chevron's doing them. They say things like "I want a snack" or "A soda sounds good" and hover over your head as you get gas. It's funny, and better than just the typical over-pump ads.

The thought bubble campaign for Big Love is just too creepy.
