event blogging done well

JetBlue opened their long-awaited T5 terminal at JFK this week, and they're sharing the event in a T5 blog. This is a fantastic example of a short-term blog (we assume) that accurately captures an event, shares the details while promoting the brand.

Proof that blogging is still a wonderful promotional tool - short term or long term. What could you be sharing?

Event blogging is not just for big brands. The local government-level conservation agency did it for our "BioBlitz" event this summer.

A BioBlitz is a short-term intensive species inventory. We blanketed the the forest preserve with teams of experts to find and catalog every kind of living thing within 24 hours.

A live blog was a natural fit.

The event generated a site inventory of more than 1000 different species and more fascinating science stories than I could hope to keep up with. It was a great outreach tool, and we even managed to work in some heartfelt plugs for the event sponsors.
