avatars for your hands
Internet avatars are so yesterday. The coolest people are wearing physical avatars.
While at SXSW, we met John Unger, who among other things, has created Emoodicons - the the first ever mood ring/emoticon mashup. One of those "wish I thought of it" ideas.
