urban outfitters launches flickr pool
Urban Outfitters is rocking pretty well with this social media thing. They launched a killer blog some time ago. And now, they've launched a Flickr photo pool. This is a photo sharing pool, open to the public, where users can upload and view photos relating to Urban Outfitters. Like people wearing cool gear.
What a fantabulous idea. Let your customers show how they use the products they buy from you. Let potential customers look at other users, for fashion ideas and trends. Photos like the sweet shot from GrannieShawna (above), sporting the most awesome plaid hoodie.
I want that hoodie. They've created desire, without having to send direct mail, without an e-newsletter, or any advertising at all. Their fans did it for them. Sweet.
