Brand Flakes for Breakfast

pageflakes includes brandflakes. let's all get flaky together.

Sticky Figure has produced an RSSelicious feed-a-mator that pulls together feeds from the best (I only say that cuz we're included) design, branding, and marketing blogs.

It's called Pageflakes. This is a great set of feeds. I know a lot of clients and marketers STILL haven't setup an RSS reader. (Try Google's...it's easy, and you'll love it.) Pageflakes (clearly, named after, and inspired by Brand Flakes) is a great place to visit daily, to quickly catch up on design and branding news - and to see the power of the RSS feed.

I use a few of these aggregators to keep up on things, and this is a good one. Check it out.

from the screenshot, this looks like it might be cool. i wouldn't know from personal experience because when i click the link, the Pageflakes page tells me "Sorry [my] browser is not supported."

i use Safari.

Yikes. That would be a problem. (Hal - Firefox rocks!)

But regardless, just received this note from Steve Woodruff, regarding bugs with PageFlakes:

Fellow bloggers,

Earlier this week, I sent along a link to you for a portal featuring feeds from a large number of our blogs.

I appreciate the many positive comments - as well as a few pieces of input about page-load times, and other "issues".

I did want to clear up one thing, that may have been misunderstood by a few - I did not create Pageflakes! I wish I could take credit for that! However, Pageflakes is a web service (similar to Netvibes) that allows any user to create a personalized portal with whatever feeds you wish. Pageflakes also allows "sharing" the results with a select group of others, or with the whole world (which is what I did with the Marketing Blogger portal).

So, if you post about it, yes, I put together the collection of feeds, but the Pageflakes people created the (very cool) technology! Oh, and as far as any technology issues - that, of course, is out of my control (there's a convenient out)!
