woman shops at the mall and podcasts

New York Times Magazine had an interesting piece yesterday on Rosemary. Rosemary is this woman who lives near the Mall of America, and found it odd that a mall has become a tourist attraction. So she set off on a little art project, to collect a shopping bag from every store in the Mall of America.

One problem - most stores won't just give you a bag - you need to actually purchase something - which changed her project considerably. She's got a series of podcasts that document her adventures - which will be of great interest to anyone who sells product in a mall. Or retail in general.

Does Pretzel Hut even have a bag? I think it’s just one thin piece of wax paper.
