boone's farm - brand opportunity

At dinner with friends recently, we were discussing wine (I know nothing about this topic), and I was asking if anyone thought there was a market for Boone's Farm again. Notoriously cheap, white-trash wine from the 70's. But anyone who is under 30 years old probably never heard of Boone's farm. It could be branded as cool to a whole new audience.

So I enjoyed Cheap Wine Woos Chic Sippers, an article on Wired about the huge business developing in alternative wines. Cheaper, cooler, fun brands like Screw Kappa Nappa, Smoking Loon and Mad Housewife. And Gallo, the makers of Boones - already has brands in the mix. So what about Boone's? Boone's Farm - listen up - we'd love to handle the branding campaign.

You're crazy! I'm 25, and I've heard of Boone's Farm. It was huge as the girl drink in high school. And, it made for plenty of sarcastic jokes in college.

I opened up this to say the same thing. I am 25 and drank boones all the time in Highschool and will still reference it everytime we ask someone to pick up a bottle of wine.

I am 25. My circle of friends really enjoy boone's. At one point we bought 8 bottles to be passed around at a softball tourney between about 6 people. We also enjoyed Strawberry Hill at our wedding reception instead of champagne.
