someone's finally killed that stupid gecko

I can't stand that annoying talking gecko. So how cool, that a competitor, Tri-state Consumer Insurance Company, produced a spot where the slimy lizard gets run over by a car? But apparently, Geico doesn't have such a sense of humor. They're suing the gecko killers. Their lawyers actually believe that listeners might confuse the dead gecko for a Geico spot. Silly lawyers.

I heard that Geico is making a deal about this because this other insurance company is way less expensive. Several friends of mine switched over and saved like $400 over Geico's rates. Geico's just afraid of losing business to the little guy.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN TO ME WHY THAT STUPID LIZARD HAS A BRITISH ACCENT? DO THEY THINK THAT MAKES US WANT TO BUY CAR INSURANCE?!! HOW ABOUT JUST GIVING US BETTER PRICES, LIKE THEY SAY IN THEIR ADS?!!

AS A NEW YORKER, I PICKED TSC CUZ THEY'RE RIGHT HERE AND TAKE CARE OF CLAIMS RIGHT AWAY. AND I THINK THEY COST LESS TOO.

Here's a tip. When you work at an agency, and you're trying to seed blogs with comments about your client's product, try and be less obvious than the two comments above.

It's not a television ad - but a radio spot. I haven't seen any links to it online - so if the agency folk that posted those "anonymous" comments earlier would really like to be helpful, they could post a version, and give us the link.
