They need to make this product available in the U.S. TODAY. American Express has created a red card, where 1% of a user's spending goes to Global Fund-financed programs in Africa. This would be even better if they donated 1% to non-profits that the user got to choose, and gave 1% on all purchases rather than the minimum 5000 pounds. But first, bring it to the US!!! Haven't heard. We've sent the concept to one of the larger non-profits that we work with, in the hopes that they could pitch it to Amex US (or Citibank, or Chase, etc.) and make it happen.
Well I'm going to pitch it to my HR rep in the company I work for. Hopefully Amex don't make it in any way difficult for companies to swtich to or use this as opposed to their standard corporate card. I wonder if it offers the same benefits (to the company in question) as their Corporate card...
